How to Install Samsung Firmware update using Odin?
Please Note: Flashing needs high care, so proceed at
your own risk
Prerequisites:
- Complete backup of device’s data
- Sufficient battery scale
- Windows PC and a USB
- Enable USB Debugging
- Install Samsung drivers on the PC
- Download Firmware on the PC and extract (Make sure it is 100% match with your Samsung, if not you device may get damaged with incorrect firmware install attempts)
Put your Samsung into Download Mode
When you see the Warning triangle, press volume up

Guide
- Step 1: Download Samsung Odin on the PC
- Step 2: Extract the Odin zip file and click “Odin exe”
- Step 3: Use a proper USB and connect you Samsung to the PC
- Step 4:In a short while you will be able see an “Added” message in the panel (left) to say you are successfully connected with Odin
- Step 5: If things are done upto now, click “PDA” and then “tar.md5”
- Step 6: In the given options select and tick “Auto Reboot” and “F.Reset Time”
- Step 7: Now click “Start”
- Step 8: Wait for few minutes and remove your device from the USB as soon as you see the green “Pass” message
- Step 9: Let your device to get rebooted
If
you are stuck in a bootloop, boot into stock Recovery mode (Press and hold
Volume Up, Home and Power) and then choose “wipe data/factory reset” to clear cache and
have a fresh start with the new Samsung firmware you have installed with Odin.

tool versions, as of now Odin3 v3.12.3 is latest in an improved interface. So I
